Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of HandzBeauty ("we", "us", "the platform"), operated from Lagos, Nigeria. By creating an account or booking through the platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use HandzBeauty

You must be at least 18 years old to create a shop. Customers booking appointments may be of any age, but minors should book with the consent of a parent or guardian.

2. Your shop, your business

Shop owners are independent businesses, not employees, agents, or partners of HandzBeauty. You set your own services, prices, hours, and policies. You are responsible for the quality of work you deliver and for complying with local laws, taxes, and licensing requirements.

3. Bookings and payments

• HandzBeauty facilitates bookings but does not process payments. Payments are made directly between the customer and the shop, typically by bank transfer or USSD.
• Deposits, refunds, and cancellations are governed by each shop's own policy, displayed at booking.
• Shops are responsible for honoring confirmed bookings and for refunding customers when they cancel an appointment.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post fake reviews, fake services, or impersonate another shop.
• Use the platform for any illegal, harmful, or discriminatory activity.
• Scrape, copy, or resell platform data.
• Bypass deposit, debt, or queue mechanisms designed to protect other users.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove any shop, customer, or review that violates these rules, with or without notice.

5. Reviews and content

You retain ownership of photos, descriptions, and other content you upload, but grant HandzBeauty a worldwide, royalty-free license to display and promote that content within the platform and in marketing materials. Customers grant the same license for reviews they post.

6. Fees

Core booking features are free today. Optional paid features (featured placement, advanced analytics, priority support) will be clearly priced before you opt in. We will give at least 30 days' notice before charging for any feature that is currently free.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend accounts for breach of these Terms, prolonged inactivity, or to comply with legal obligations. On termination, your public page is taken down but anonymized booking records may be retained for accounting purposes.

8. Liability

HandzBeauty is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, we are not liable for: lost income from outages, disputes between shops and customers, the quality of services delivered offline, or any indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period will not exceed ₦50,000 or the fees you paid us in that period, whichever is greater.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lagos State.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
